The Elkhart County Community Foundation (ECCF) was established in 1989.
ECCF total assets as of FY ’12-’13 totaled $227 million.
ECCF has awarded more than $44 million since our inception.
Each year the funding available for grants is 5% of the endowment’s average value for 16 previous quarters.
In fiscal year 2014, we awarded $7 million in grants and scholarships.
ECCF’s largest single donor was Guy “David” Gundlach, giving an estimated $150 million.
ECCF is governed by a 21 Member Board of Trustees.
ECCF has awarded grants to more than 275 not-for-profits serving Elkhart County.
ECCF holds three unrestricted funds: The Fund for Elkhart County, Fund for Excellence, and Scholarship Fund for Elkhart County.
ECCF has partnered with the Lilly Endowment Community Scholars Program since its beginning in 1998.
ECCF is a nationally accredited community foundation through the Council on Foundations.
ECCF grants in the areas of Youth Development, Vibrant Community, and Quality of Life.
