Indiana Camp John Warvel has changed the lives of thousands of Hoosier children with diabetes by empowering them to independently manage their disease in a fun, safe and educational camp environment.

Diabetes education is incorporated into daily activities as campers ages 7-15 with type 1 or type 2 diabetes learn how to best manage their disease while doing everything a child without diabetes can do. With a cost to send one child to camp of approximately $985, campers’ families pay a portion of the cost with ADA covering the remainder. ECCF funding will help five or more children to attend camp; the number helped will be determined by their need.
